Simon, was Born on the 28th May 1974 in Saulsville. He is the son of the late Samuel Chikane and the late Sherin Makgatholela. He was raised by a Christian family (ZCC). He attended his Primary and Secondary schooling in Saulsville.

I always had love for music growing up, I was involved in boys choirs, after school all we would do is sing gospel songs and my favorite highlights are gospel competitions because I always knew that through God we will conquer the stage.
